Writer's picture: danlebrundanlebrun

As some of you may have heard, the weather forecaster at Wildland Fire Management, Mike Smith, has predicted that the moisture level in Yukon forests is about or above normal so far.  This is very different than the situation in northern BC and Alberta where it is very dry already.  However, we know that one week of very warm weather can quickly dry our forests.

You can hear further details from the weather forecaster and Minister Mostyn here.
