Evacuation Preparedness – Your Vehicle’s Fuel

In many cases, evacuation will only mean getting you and your family to another part of Whitehorse.  But, if a community wide evacuation is necessary, you will be relying on your vehicle to carry you out of town to the nearest sanctuary or fueling stop.  Unless you keep your vehicle full or near-full of fuel, you may run out of fuel and have to abandon your vehicle. This is serious.  During fire season, always keep your fuel topped up – just in case.
